Assistant Coach--Richard Courtney

Coach Courtney has been an assistant coach for WHS Boys Soccer since 2019.  Prior to that he was the WHS Boys head coach from 2003-2009, and has also been a head boys soccer coach at three other Minnesota high schools.

His favorite thing about coaching at the high school level is the opportunity to build relationships with the players, and he especially appreciates the diversity that is present in the WHS soccer program.  He still loves coaching and teaching as much as he did when he started almost 40 years ago.

Assistant Coach--Francis Winter

Coach Winter's first year as an assistant coach for WHS Boys Soccer will be 2023.  Prior to joining the WHS Boys official coaching staff, he was a volunteer coach with the program full time for two years and part-time prior to that while attending college.  He is also a WHS soccer alum, playing from 2011-2016.

He is excited to coach his own team, as well as staying connected with the players that he has already worked with and continuing to see their progression and development on and off the field as they go through the WHS Soccer program.
