AP Exams

Exam Information

Students who have registered to take an AP class may choose to take the AP exam offered in May of each year. This page includes the necessary information for registering for those exams, if they choose to do so.

All 2026 AP Exams will be administered in person during a two-week testing window in May.

WHS Exam Fees for 2025/26: $55 per exam

Students who qualify for the Federal free or reduced school meals program can apply for a waiver which results in a $10 exam fee. A Confidentiality Waiver must be on file with the school district.  This form is available from the school main office, district office, or from Mrs. Gilbertson (gilbertsona@willmar.k12.mn.us) and can also be found on the Schoology AP Exam course page.

Registration

Students will create College Board accounts to register for AP exams at Willmar High School online at www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/242695. This will likely be done in class as students need unique join codes to be added to their sections.

Multiple-Choice Scores

Total scores on the multiple-choice section are based on the number of questions answered correctly. Points are not deducted for incorrect answers and no points are awarded for unanswered questions.

AP Scores

Your AP score shows how well you did on the AP Exam. It's also a measure of your achievement in your college-level AP course. This score will be used by colleges and universities to determine if they will grant you credit for what you've already learned, or allow you to skip the equivalent course once you get to college (this is known as advanced placement). Click here to learn more about AP Scores.

Online Scores for Students

You can view your AP scores online and submit an online request for additional score reports for colleges, universities, and scholarship programs. You will not receive scores in the mail. Visit apscore.org to learn when you can access your scores. Click here for more information on AP score reporting services.
